Endless Pool owner Leslie Krichko is a former Olympic skier and now a professional water therapist and trainer. |
Endless Pool owner Leslie Krichko was a
U.S. Olympic cross-country skier before a
foot injury cut short her career in 1982. She started
to compete again in 1985, but just before the 1988
Olympics she felt the injury beginning to hamper her
again. She had surgery on her foot but thought she
would have to miss the Olympics until a doctor told
her about water therapy.
Thanks to rehabilitation in the pool, Leslie
recovered to become the top American finisher in the
'88 Olympic games. She was so impressed with
the results that she became a full-time aquatic trainer
and therapist. Now, if a client wants land-based training,
Leslie politely sends them to someone else, so convinced
is she of the superiority of water-based therapy.
